MIXING

Mixing is the process of blending all of the individual tracks in a recording to create a version of the song that sounds as good as possible. We balance the level of the tracks that have been recorded and fine-tune each sound, instrument, or voice by using equalization. We pan the tracks between speakers to create a stereo image. By adding reverb, compression and other effects the original recording is enhanced.

Usually when mastering you are working with a track that has already been mixed down to a stereo file. Mastering is the final creative step in the record making process. The engineer reviews the mixed masters and makes overall level, dynamic and EQ adjustments that are best suited for the project. Giving your recordings better clarity, extra depth and more punch.   

MASTERING
 

Mastering from stems allows greater control over the mix to finely adjust levels and frequencies. It also allows us further control to correct problems in the mix that might otherwise be impossible to fix. You're giving us more to work with than you would for a single audio file.

STEM MASTERING

After album mastering your songs will be more consistent with each other. They will be as high in volume level as possible while preserving their proper dynamic structure. Increased punch and clarity will be added to your sound. Unwanted frequencies and noises that can reduce the overall sound quality of your music will be removed.
